Cart Path and Fire Pit - Adjusted for Tree Locations

This series is an update of the firepit and golf cart path after the trees have been located.

Various locations are suggested for both.

The slope is steep and varying so I want to get together with the client at the property again and draw these lines out on the ground and remeasure before a final decision.

The Fire Pit

Firepit Alternates
The A position makes convenience the priority. Getting food and drinks and trays and utensils, putting away trash etc. are easily accessible from here. The view and the sense of seclusion might be compromised however.
The B and C positions can be secluded with greenery from the house side and have a better view of the lake.
Position D get's the best lake view of all but is inconvenient to the kitchen etc. Also, construction on the shore is discouraged by the lake's authority.

Cart paths.

The terrain will dictate mostly but there is room for variation within that space.
Golf Cart Path
Variation #1

#1 uses a lot of shoreline which is discouraged by the lake's guidelines. But that is the flattest area and there may be some valid reason like carrying heavy loads to boats etc.

Golf Cart Path
Variation #2

#2 is shorter so cheaper. It is kind to the shoreline. This is the approximate location the owner suggested and I agree. This is most likely the best choice. There are details about the beginning and end of the path that we didn't discuss.

Golf Cart Path
Variation #3

The left edge of the property is woody and steep so var #3 is unlikely.

Comments

  1. We like path #2 but the addition on the left of the house will include a basement. So, the path will need to around the house instead of under.

    1. Thanks a million for the note. This is not included in the edits I'm about to post, but I'll make that change in the second phase plan.
