Comps
I use composite images as a sketch tool to gather the client's ideas. This visual tool prompts further conversation. Fodder for continuing refinement.
Brief
The client's brief:
- Addition
- double the footprint of the house on the north side
- undecided factors
- deck arrangements
- exact footprint
- car port ... etc.
- Dry stream
- control erosion with minimal damage to existing terrain or tree roots, integrate with plantings.
- Footpath
- material to be determined.
- pea gravel is unstable to walk on but is a pleasing color
- crushed granite is gray, less pleasing but stable
- crushed red stone maybe the answer
- Golf cart path
- for carrying heavy loads to the boathouse
- concrete for traction on the slope
- is there another material with a more natural apperance? stained?
- Fireplace
- a fireplace between the house and the lake with lights
- no built-in seating
- built in lighting
- New boathouse
- two boat slips
- larger decks
- Swing
